Nexus' preferred development methodology is known as Agile. The success of Agile developers has grown in response to the traditional leviathan sized ERP, application, and database deployment, where project lead times are long and business requirements often change during the long deployment times.

Agile development works by initially isolating core functionality in first deployments and then seeks to constantly build in value to the system over development iteration phases in response to the ongoing needs of business.

This approach has numerous advantages, not least; costs can be tightly controlled, a constant stream of quick wins can be experienced, and legacy risk is minimised.
